Music video draft

I have put a draft for my music video on YouTube and I have been waiting for some feed back of the positives and negatives. This should hopefully help me to dispose of errors or shots which may not be good in the public's eyes.

Filming Week 2

During this weeks filming, looking back at the footage, it became clear to me that some of the people I chose to be in the video did not suite it. This has lead to me changing some of the people in the video because I want the music video to look as professional as possible. This was a big decision I had to make because I know that by doing this I will have to re-film a lot of scenes.

For the first half of this week the weather was seriously rainy so I did not film as it would obviously not make sense in one scene that its raining and a continuation scene had rain. Also i did not want to film because i did not want there to be any possibility that the camera may stop working. Luckily at the end of the week the weather cleared up so we were able to do some more filming until it started raining again.

Filming for the Music Video Week 1

Recently I have started filming. My video involves a boy band so today I was focusing on one of the boys. During this weeks filming one difficulty was that that character kept on laughing when he was supposed to look serious. Eventually after multiple takes we worked it out. Another difficulty was that people kept on peeping during the scenes. This made it look unprofessional so we had to do multiple takes until it was presentable enough. But on the other hand, when the boy did the scene properly, it looks very good with great acting.

Michael Jackson Pop videos

He joined the Jackson brothers in 1964, a band formed by four of his brothers. When Michael was eight, he started singing lead vocals and subsequently the group changed their name to the Jackson 5. From 1966 to 1968 the band toured the Midwest strongly, in order to gain a name for themselves and succeeded by winning a major local talent show with covers of Motown; before going on to record several songs which include “Big Boy” in 1967. The magazine Rolling Stone described the Jackson 5 as “a Prodigy”.

The Jackson 5 signed a record deal with Epic Records (partnered with CBS Records).  They changed their name to ‘The Jackons’ with Michael as the lead singer. They toured internationally at the same time as releasing six new albums between 1976 and 1984. The album ‘Off The Wall’ in which they produced in 1979 proved successful, with collaborating artists such as Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney who helped song-write.  Also in 1979 Michael broke his nose in a dance practice, and subsequently complained of breathing difficulties after, and was consequently referred to a doctor to perform his second rhinoplasty and other operations. This changed his appearance and the audience became more involved with his life, however his career was still moving on up with success, including winning three music awards at the American Music Awards in 1981.

Popularity of the music videos of Michael Jackson’s songs such as Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller were credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool and have helped to bring the relatively new television channel MTV to fame. Michael Jackson have popularised a number of dance techniques such as tobot and the moonwalk through stage performances and music videos.  Numerous hip hop, pop, R&B and rock artists have influenced by the distinctive musical sound and vocal style of Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson has used complex story lines, dance routines, special effects and cameo appearances in order to transform the music video into an art form and a promotional tool.
